Falcon girls face Nooksack Valley in playoffs

South Whidbey’s first playoff test comes tonight on the road against Nooksack Valley.

The Pioneers finished Northwest Conference play with a 7-5 record (13-7 overall) and averaged 47.2 points, while holding opponents to 39.9.

The Falcons (6-8 Cascade Conference; 11-10 overall) have struggled on offense, particularly breaking press and trap defenses. Overall, South Whidbey’s offense languished to 38.9 points per game and allowed opponents 43.9 points.

South Whidbey finished its regular season with a 41-31 victory over Granite Falls on Friday.
