South Whidbey girls load up for Lynden tonight

February 8th, 2012 at Wed, 8th, 2012 at 9:07 am by benwatanabe

South Whidbey’s girls basketball team squeaked into postseason play by claiming the fourth spot in the Cascade Conference. The Falcons have a tall task ahead tonight when they host the Lynden Lions. The Lions finished 11-4 in the Northwest Conference (14-6 overall) for a chance to advance through the District 1 play-in game. Lynden averaged more than 52 points per game this season and allowed about 46.

The Falcons were hardly an explosive offensive group. They averaged 37.4 points per game and gave up almost 44 points per game.

Tip-off is at 7 p.m. at South Whidbey High School.
