The blotter: Watch out, deer!

Monday, Oct. 19
10:45 a.m. — Items from a shed were stolen on Echowood Lane.
7 p.m. — A large amount of smoke was reported on Beachwood Drive. A woman said she was worried about all the brush and trees around her yard and garden.
7:21 p.m. — A driver hit a deer near Scott Road.
7:27 p.m. — A driver in a Toyota 4Runner hit a deer on Honeymoon Bay Road.

Tuesday, Oct. 20
8:52 a.m. — A man on Tuition Place said his two dogs ran away.
10:54 a.m. — Trespassers were reported on property on Thompson Road.
11:45 a.m. — A woman said a parked car had been prowled in the 11040 block of Highway 525.
12:21 p.m. — An assault was reported on an Island Transit bus by the parent of the victim. There were no serious injuries, but the caller said the harassment has been going on for years.
2:35 p.m. — A man said he was concerned about his wife possibly driving while under the influence.
4:49 p.m. — Yard lights and birdbaths were vandalized on Timberline Road.
6:49 p.m. — A dead deer was partially blocking the northbound lane of Highway 525 at Harbor Avenue.
8:35 p.m. — A caller on Ravenscall Road heard a large-caliber gunshot.
8:42 p.m. — A possible DUI driver in a white sedan was reported turning off Highway 525 onto Main Street.
10:27 p.m. — A man who appeared to have been drinking was knocking around landscaping blocks on Manor Way.

Wednesday, Oct. 21
12:27 a.m. — A man said his truck’s window was broken in a vehicle prowl at Ken’s Korner.
3:29 a.m. — A driver ran out of gas and was stranded on Highway 525 at Classic Road.
8:15 a.m. — There were two dead raccoons at Walnut Way and Bob Galbreath Road.
9:26 a.m. — A woman said a man was cutting up fallen trees from her property and another property nearby on Junco Road. The man told the caller’s daughter he could take the trees if he wanted to.
10:07 a.m. — A driver hit a deer on Saratoga Road. The man said he was a county employee in a county car.
10:46 a.m. — Gas was stolen again from the same business on Highway 525.
7:23 p.m. — A tree was blocking both lanes of Woodard Avenue.
8:04 p.m. — A woman said she lost her keys near her car parked in the field at the high school, and wanted someone with a flashlight to find them.

Thursday, Oct. 22
8:25 a.m. — Someone reported illegal hunting in the Saratoga Woods preserve; two subjects were seen carrying rifles and consulting a map.
9:46 a.m. — A 15-year-old was playing loud music.
9:53 a.m. — A bunch of gravel was in the road at the intersection of Cultus Bay and French roads.
11:16 a.m. — A caller on Pilchuck Drive said gas was stolen from a shed and food was taken from a freezer.
3:43 p.m. — A caller on Serendipity Lane said a woman just drove onto her lawn. The driver said she was drunk, and was calling someone on a cellphone.
