I commend Fran for putting this little expository note on Tourism together. I hope she will follow it up now with what she thinks having written the preamble. For example, what are her thoughts about parks as part of the tourism issue, are views why tourists come to Langley? If views are why men and women, their pets and children come here where do they go to take in the views? Do they congregate on Cascade Avenue with an umbrella handy? Do they bring their picnic lunches to the Boy and Dog Park? How often do they come to Langley - is there any way of tracking this? Who is tracking it? Is Fran able to get knotty data from the Chamber so that she can inform the council of directions that the tourism budget should be headed toward? So - thanks again for the baseline budget info, Fran. But please continue and let us know where you stand on tourism. Are you for restoring it to where it appeared to be in the '90's and early 2000's; do you think its doing ok; do you think Langley need not pay so much attention to it? Where do you stand? Thanks!
